Soul Train
The Hippest Trip in America
Soul Train exploded on the scene in 1971, introducing the nation to a fusion of music and dance culture, while offering black artists an unprecedented opportunity—national exposure. Long before MTV or BET, there was Soul Train with its signature style. From day one, it was the “hippest trip in America,” showcasing black culture to the masses and forever changing the face of American television. In May 2008,
MadVision Entertainment
and Intermedia Partners acquired the Soul Train Franchise from Don Cornelius.
